The castle,former summer residence of the late Queen Mother, and gardens, are now
open to the public for most of the summer. The gardens consist of a traditional Scottish walled garden with herbaceous and vegetable gardens, greenhouse, shrub roses and Shell garden. Opening is restricted, please see the castle web site. |

There are three gardens at Cawdor. The old kitchen garden which now features a maze, orchard and Paradise garden. The flower garden , a formal design with yew hedges, lavender and rose beds and herbaceous borders. The periphery is planted with exotic shrubs. The wild garden is constructed along a burn which runs adjacent to the Castle west wall. Open May - Oct |

This garden contains a collection of about 360
Rhododendron species and is one of the finest private collections in

One of a new generation of Scottish gardens.
Over 2 acres of exciting plantings, with winding paths through native
woodlands. Seasonal highlights - hellebores, primulas, meconopsis,
hardy geraniums and colour themed summer beds. On a steep hillside

the original clipped yew hedging with formal and informal areas of
shrubs
and herbaceous planting.A wild garden with stream is a feature, as is
